SEO Analysis adds competitor research and keyword assistance to the Single Post content plan workflow. It is not a standalone admin screen — it appears as the Competitor Analysis Assistant on the Topic step of Content Generation.
Use it to research competitors, pick headings and keywords, and optionally let web-search-capable models enrich the generated content plan with keyword gaps and content opportunities.
Where to Find It
- Go to SmartyPress AI → Content Generation (
#/content-generation). - Open the Single Post flow.
- On the Topic step, the Competitor Analysis Assistant appears above the topic field.
#/components).

Competitor Analysis Assistant

- Choose a Search Source when more than one is available: Yandex Search or AI Web Search (Sonar).
- For Sonar, select a Search Model.

smartypress/v1/seo-analysis/competitors. - On Russian locales with Yandex configured, click Suggest Keywords (Yandex Wordstat) to call
smartypress/v1/seo-analysis/keywords. - Select useful competitor headings and keywords. Selected research is passed into plan generation.
Automatic Research During Plan Generation
When the SEO Analysis module is enabled and the selected provider/model supports web search, plan generation can also run automatic competitor research:
- AI extracts 3–8 search queries from your topic
- It performs competitor research using web search
- Analyzes competitor titles, headings, keyword clusters
- Identifies keyword gaps and content opportunities
- Creates a stronger content plan based on the research
Research Data
The plan may include a research section with:
- Search Queries — queries extracted from your topic
- Competitors — titles, URLs, observed keywords, heading patterns
- Keyword Gaps — topics competitors missed
- Title Patterns — common patterns in competing titles
- Content Opportunities — angles not covered by competitors
