This page explains which cookies this website uses, what each of them does, and how you can change your mind at any time. For everything else about personal data, see our Privacy Policy.
What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to store. It lets the site remember something between page loads — for example, that you have already answered the cookie question. Cookies set by this site can only be read by this site; cookies set by a third party, such as Google, are governed by that company’s policy.
The three categories we use
Necessary
These keep the site working and cannot be switched off. They remember your cookie choice, protect the support form from spam, and hold your session if you are logged in as an editor. They do not track you across other websites.
Analytics
These would tell us which pages are read and where visitors give up, so we can improve the documentation. They are only set after you allow them. At the moment this website sets no analytics cookies at all — the category exists so that if we ever add analytics, it will wait for your consent instead of running behind your back.
Marketing
These would measure campaigns and personalise offers. They are only set after you allow them. At the moment this website sets no marketing cookies at all.
Cookies in use today
| Cookie | Set by | Category | Lifetime | Purpose |
|---|---|---|---|---|
wpaif_consent |
This website | Necessary | 12 months | Stores which cookie categories you allowed, so the banner does not ask again. |
_GRECAPTCHA |
Necessary | Up to 6 months | Spam protection on the support form. Set only when you open the support page. | |
wordpress_logged_in_*, wordpress_sec_*, wp-settings-* |
This website | Necessary | Session to 12 months | Standard WordPress cookies. Set only for people who log in to manage the site, never for ordinary visitors. |
Besides cookies, several pages load the Poppins typeface from Google Fonts. That is not a cookie, but it does make your IP address visible to Google when the font is requested.
Changing your choice
You can reopen the cookie settings at any time and allow or refuse the optional categories:
You can also manage cookies in your browser: every major browser lets you view stored cookies, delete them, or block them entirely. Blocking necessary cookies may break parts of the site, including the support form.
Changes to this policy
If we start using new cookies, we will update the table above and ask for your consent again where the law requires it.
